Merrill Fire Department Report Week Ending September 8

MERRILL – The Merrill Fire Department responded to 48 calls last week, bringing the total for 2024 to 1,562 calls. There were 39 calls requesting EMS services, excluding one call of a motor vehicle accident Monday, September 2nd on County Rd G resulting in injuries.

A call came in on Wednesday, September 4^th of a smoke scare on West Main St. One call was received as a result of a cloud to ground lightning strike on Taylor St. in the City of Merrill Thursday, September 5^th, but no fire was reported.
